Our school programme continues to grow, and currently Calcutta Rescue provides education for approximately 500 children, (160 younger pupils educated at our own schools and over 350 students in mainstream schools). As a result, both of our schools are at capacity, with overcrowding threatening to diminish the quality of education provided.

We need a new study building for our mainstream students to have additional tuition and a quiet place to study after school hours. This will greatly reduce the pressure on our own already stretched school resources and will be a lot more time efficient for the students themselves.

A coaching centre consists of 2 classrooms, one common room with separate washroom facilities. Currently, we have one centre but require another closer to Number One School, secured on a rental basis. 

The estimated cost to rent a new study building is Rs. 216,000 (€3,265) per year, plus the purchase of desks, chairs, and school equipment for Rs.120,000 (€1,810).
