patients
In its role as provider of medical care to Kolkata’s poor, CR has to constantly make difficult decisions about those who receive major treatment and those who do not. Often, we are persuaded to favour treatments with a public health aspect for its multiplier effect; however, this means that individuals in real need are sidelined as a result of the limitations of our financial resources. We always have patients whom we find too expensive to treat from our regular funds – the decision not to fund an operation or a course of treatment is always a very difficult one to take.
How do we address this problem ? In these cases, we seek to find personal sponsors who are willing to take responsibility for the long term provision of care and medicine for individual patients. By seeking generous individuals who can sponsor, or partially sponsor, a patient, they can receive the appropriate treatment for their condition and potentially live a full and long life.
Please see below for information on patients for whom we are seeking sponsorship - please let us know if you can help pay for their treatment ! Please contact info@calcuttarescue.org for more information.
